The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is the state economic development authority for the Commonwealth of Virginia. Created in 1995, VEDP collaborates with local, regional, and state partners to encourage the expansion and diversification of Virginia’s economy. VEDP works to accomplish these objectives through a variety of activities, including marketing and lead generation; business retention, expansion, and attraction; trade development; business intelligence; competitive benchmarking; site development; performance-based incentives; and talent solutions.

Business Manager, Air Cargo

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) seeks a Business Manager for the Logistics Sector to implement an air cargo gateway strategy leveraging Washington-Dulles International Airport to drive growth and investment in Virginia's logistics sector and attract investment from heavy air cargo use industries. This role focuses on expanding the air cargo logistics ecosystem, enhancing infrastructure efficiency, attracting cargo volume through Dulles cargo operations, developing KPIs to measure success, promoting innovation within the sector, and supporting investment in advanced manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, and other targeted growth sectors. The Business Manager will leverage market intelligence and collaborate with key stakeholders to position Virginia as the premier choice for air cargo logistics operations.

This is a field-based position with direct engagement with senior leadership at prospective companies, existing businesses, and key stakeholders including the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). The role is high visibility and requires significant self-direction and exceptional organizational skills. The Business Manager is expected to actively represent VEDP in the logistics sector, driving initiatives and fostering relationships that promote economic growth, innovation, and investment in Virginia.

Grant Program Administrator

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Grant Program Administrator to support the Virginia Talent & Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP) program, an innovative initiative to dramatically expand paid internship opportunities for higher education students across the Commonwealth. The Grant Program Administrator will be part of a mission-driven team working to strengthen Virginia’s economy and workforce.

This role is primarily responsible for reviewing and approving grant program applications, reviewing and processing requests for reimbursements from Virginia businesses, and collaborating with team members to advise on grant program guidelines. In addition to these responsibilities, this position helps the V-TOP team maintain and leverage data in Salesforce and other technology platforms, supports program events, and oversees the webinars required for the matching grant program.

Sr. Manager, Talent Marketing

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking a Sr. Manager of Talent Marketing within its Marketing & Communications (M&C) Division to manage the development and execution of a statewide marketing campaign for the Virginia Talent & Opportunity Partnership (V-TOP). This innovative initiative aims to dramatically expand paid internship opportunities for higher education students across the Commonwealth. The M&C Division manages Virginia’s business brand and builds awareness of the Commonwealth’s advantages.

The Sr. Manager will play a pivotal role in positioning Virginia as America’s Top State for Talent and will help support VEDP’s broader talent marketing efforts. This position will lead efforts to raise employer awareness of V-TOP, promote the value of internships, and drive participation from businesses across the state. This position will also collaborate closely with VEDP’s M&C and Talent and Workforce Strategy teams to ensure alignment and amplify the reach of V-TOP’s messaging. This role will be part of a mission-driven team working to strengthen Virginia’s economy and workforce. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact growing companies as they launch leading-edge technologies at their new or expanding locations in the state of Virginia. Client companies include both established multi-national firms and emerging start-ups.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist supports our clients in various aspects and elements of the recruitment process. Videographer/Editor

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) is seeking an experienced Videographer/Editor to join the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on multiple projects with the world’s most prestigious companies as they deploy leading edge technologies at their new or expanding Virginia locations.

The Virginia Talent Accelerator services are offered as an incentive to encourage eligible new and expanding companies to create new jobs in Virginia. The program primarily serves advanced manufacturing facilities but also serves technology, and biopharma industries. The core deliverables are talent acquisition and new-hire training services that are fully customized to a client company’s unique jobs, processes, equipment, procedures, and standards. These services are part of a comprehensive suite which also includes training and consulting in leadership, collaboration skills, quality systems, and automation technologies as well as advertisements for recruitment in the company.
