Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Altec Industries, a Birmingham, AL-based manufacturer of equipment for the utility and telecommunications industries, will locate a new manufacturing and final assembly facility in the Botetourt Center at Greenfield. The company plans to employ 150 people during its first three years of operation and invest $12.5 million.

The company will invest approximately $30 million in the expansion which will create up to 172 jobs. Virginia successfully competed with Connecticut and Florida for the investment.
Governor Gilmore announces Precision Technology Group's decision to create 100 new jobs
Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Precision Technology Group of Great Britain (PTG) has chosen Roanoke City for the headquarters of its new North American division, Precision Technology USA. Precision Technology plans to employ more than 100 people and invest more than $2 million over the next six years. The company plans to occupy a former Tultex building in the city. Virginia successfully competed with Ohio for the investment.

The company will invest $38.5 million in the new facility while creating an estimated 325 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with Kentucky and North Carolina for the investment.
