Mack to invest $13 million to establish new operation, create 250 manufacturing jobs

SALEM—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Mack Trucks will invest $13 million to establish a manufacturing operation in Roanoke County, creating 250 new jobs. The new venture will allow Mack to produce and sell a new line of medium-duty trucks. Virginia successfully competed with sites in several other states for the project.

Blue Ridge Designs, LLC to invest $2.28 million to grow manufacturing operation

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Blue Ridge Designs, LLC, a fast-growing manufacturer of screen printed apparel, will invest $2.28 million to expand its screen printing operation in Carroll County. The project will create 118 new jobs.

Expel, Inc. will invest $1.4 million to expand footprint 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Expel, Inc., a Virginia-based managed security provider, will invest $1.4 million to expand its operation in the Town of Herndon in Fairfax County. The company will grow its footprint by adding additional space to the current facility and creating 164 new jobs across its engineering, customer experience, IT, marketing, and sales teams over the next three years.

GMAX Industries will invest $10.5 million in new operation

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that GMAX Industries, Inc., a manufacturer and sourcing agent of medical disposable products for the healthcare industry, will invest $10.5 million to establish a manufacturing and distribution operation in Pretlow Industrial Park in the City of Franklin. The facility will centralize the company’s operations in-house, creating 40 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.

Macedon Technologies investing $1.65 million to expand corporate headquarters, creating 147 new jobs

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Macedon Technologies, an IT services company that uses the Appian software development platform, will invest $1.65 million to expand its corporate headquarters in Reston in Fairfax County. Virginia successfully competed with Texas for the project, which will create 147 new jobs. 

Traditional Medicinals will invest $29.7 million to establish East Coast herbal tea manufacturing and processing facility

ROCKY MOUNT—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Traditional Medicinals, the leading seller of wellness tea in the United States, will invest $29.7 million to establish an East Coast herbal tea manufacturing and processing operation in the Summit View Business Park in Franklin County. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project, which will create 56 new jobs.
