Mariah Vision3 to Move Corporate Headquarters, Create 75 Jobs
Richmond - Governor George Allen today announced that Mariah Vision3 Entertainment, a video game and software developer, will relocate its corporate headquarters and production facility from Pittsfield, Massachusetts to the City of Suffolk. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina, South Carolina and Maryland for the $1 million investment. Mariah Vision3 is expected to hire 75 project managers, graphic artists, software developers and metal fabricators.
"Mariah Vision3's decision to locate in Suffolk clearly puts Virginia 'ahead of the game' when it comes to attracting state-of-the-art companies," said Governor Allen. "Their high-tech investment in the Silicon Dominion will encourage further economic progress for the City of Suffolk and for the entire Hampton Roads region. I welcome Mariah Vision3 Entertainment as a positive addition to Virginia's growing list of corporate headquarters."
Mariah Vision3 Entertainment develops fully interactive, live-action video games and simulations for location-based entertainment. To create the ultimate in realistic experiences, Mariah has moved beyond computer-generated images. To date, it is the only company in the world that has developed the technology to create entertainment products which manipulate film and video imagery in "real time." Mariah will occupy space in the former Atlantic Film Studio building and will begin production in July.

The Virginia Economic Development Partnership, the Hampton Roads Economic Development Alliance and the City of Suffolk Department of Economic Development assisted the company with its decision. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide workforce training services.
