Process Integration invests $16 million in wheel polishing plant
Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Process Integration Company will locate a new $16 million manufacturing facility in Russell County. The company, which polishes and clear coats aluminum automotive wheels, will create 50 new jobs for original equipment manufacturer (OEM) suppliers including the neighboring Reynolds Wheels International facility in the Town of Lebanon. Virginia successfully competed with Georgia, Ohio and Nebraska for the investment.
"Process Integration's decision to locate in Russell reflects my commitment to Southwest Virginia," Governor Gilmore said. "The working relationship between Process Integration, Reynolds and other OEM customers will create valuable jobs for the region and enable both companies to become more competitive in their respective markets."
Headquartered in Meriden, Connecticut, Process Integration Company will polish 700,000 wheels per year in Phase One. The manufacturing operations will be housed in a locally funded shell building in the Cumberland Plateau Regional Industrial Park in Russell County. The world class plant will be the most automated facility of its kind, capable of high-luster finishing and clear coating aluminum automotive wheels to a quality unmatched anywhere in the world.

Governor Gilmore approved a grant from the Governor's Opportunity Fund in the amount of $150,000 to assist Russell County with site acquisition and preparation. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership, the Virginia Coalfield Economic Development Authority, the Russell County Industrial Development Authority and the Town of Lebanon assisted the company with its decision. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide workforce training services and the Virginia Department of Transportation will contribute road access funding.
