RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Keystone Dyeing & Finishing, a manufacturer of custom textile products and dyeing services, will open a new manufacturing facility in Orange County. The relocation will create 125 new jobs through a $2.5 million investment. Virginia successfully competed with Rhode Island for the project.

“I am pleased to see a textile producer such as Keystone Dyeing & Finishing locate in Virginia,” said Governor Warner. “Keystone’s decision will significantly offset a portion of the recent job losses in Orange County and benefit the entire region. I look forward to partnering with the Commonwealth’s newest corporate citizen.”

Keystone Dyeing & Finishing is a manufacturer of custom textile products and dyeing services. The company will locate in the former Liberty Fabrics facility in Gordonsville. At this site, Keystone will provide custom dyeing and finishing services for all sectors of the textile industry and employ associates in the dyeing, finishing, distribution and support areas.

“The Gordonsville area has been synonymous in the industry with the production of quality dyed and finished fabrics for decades,” said Sheff Novik, CEO of Keystone. “The experienced workforce in the region, combined with the availability of a state-of-the-art facility, were key factors in the decision to locate our manufacturing in Virginia. The purchase of this facility, combined with the scheduled investment of an additional $2.5 million, indicates our strong commitment to our customers, our employees and the area. We are extremely grateful for the assistance provided by Orange County and the Governor’s Office in this project.”

Governor Warner approved a $150,000 grant from the Governor’s Opportunity Fund to assist Orange County with the project. The Virginia Economic Development Partnership, Orange County, the Town of Gordonville and the Thomas Jefferson Partnership for Economic Development assisted Keystone Dyeing & Finishing with its decision. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will provide workforce training services.
