RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that Virginia Credit & Finance, a servicing partner of Roanoke-based Atlantic Credit & Finance, will locate in Henrico County. The company will invest $1 million and create 150 new jobs over the next two years. Virginia Credit & Finance will operate its debt collection and call center operation at 2810 N. Parham Road, Suite 310. Virginia successfully competed with Maryland for the project.
“Virginia Credit & Finance is creating great new job opportunities for the people of the greater Richmond region,” said Governor Warner. “It’s good to see a Virginia-based company expanding within the Commonwealth.”
Virginia Credit & Finance, Inc., a servicing partner of Atlantic Credit & Finance, Inc., is Richmond’s newest debt recovery company. Virginia Credit & Finance specializes in the collection of charged-off consumer credit cards and was established for the purpose of servicing portfolios purchased by Atlantic Credit & Finance of Roanoke, Va. In 2001 and 2002, Atlantic Credit & Finance ranked in the top 25 of INC. magazine’s fastest growing companies. The company currently employs more than 200 people in Roanoke, Va. and Columbia, Md.

Jefferson, President and CEO of Virginia Credit & Finance, Inc., said locating in Henrico County made good business sense. “We wanted to benefit from the tremendous labor pool in the region. We felt that Henrico County and the Richmond metropolitan area could facilitate our accelerated growth plans.”
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership provided tailored workforce data and site selection information to support the project. The Greater Richmond Partnership and the Henrico County Economic Development Authority partnered to provide Virginia Credit & Finance with additional information and site selection assistance to close the deal. The Virginia Department of Business Assistance will support the project with its Workforce Services Program.
