
Steve Youll serves as Vice President of the Virginia Talent Accelerator Program at the Virginia Economic Development Partnership, where he is responsible for team leadership and oversight of the client service delivery teams. The Talent Accelerator team brings a wealth of private sector industry experience and understands the unique demands of new and expanding operations. All talent-related services for talent attraction and training are designed, developed, and delivered by that in-house team of experts with the program’s focus to deliver highly customized programs shortening a new hire’s timeline and learning curve, thereby accelerating the start-up of the facility’s operations.
Experience
Starting his career as a high school English teacher, Steve transitioned to the private sector in multiple training and human resources capacities for both start-up and established companies where he led training and HR functions. Notably, Steve worked for the Honda Corporation, where he oversaw organizational development and HR functions for seven North American locations with more than 5,200 employees. After Honda, he transitioned to JobsOhio, the state of Ohio’s private economic development corporation, as Manager of Organizational Development, he stood up the state’s economic development workforce programs focused on talent acquisition and training and leading the program’s project and client engagement strategies including business consulting to senior executives.
