Investment aimed at improving productivity and increasing employee training

COVINGTON—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that WestRock Company, a leading provider of differentiated paper and packaging solutions, will invest $248.4 million in its manufacturing operations in the City of Covington and Alleghany County over a five-year period. These investments will be used to purchase new equipment designed to improve productivity at the paper mill and extruding facility, as well as to increase employee training.

Monogram Foods to invest $30 million in fourth manufacturing operation expansion

MARTINSVILLE—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Monogram Food Solutions, LLC, a Memphis-based manufacturer of value-added meats, will invest $30 million to expand its manufacturing operation, Monogram Snacks, in Henry County. The company will renovate and lease 50,000 square feet in the former Woolen Mills factory. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina for the project, which will create 200 new jobs.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Ocean Network Express, a global transport company, will invest $2.5 million to expand its North American Regional Headquarters office to accommodate additional personnel as its customer base increases. The project will create 129 new jobs.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that InterChange Cold Storage, LLC will create 88 new jobs and invest $41.6 million in Rockingham County to build a 250,0000-square-foot, state-of-the-art cold storage and blast freezing facility. The company, owned by Rockingham County-based third-party logistics provider InterChange Group, Inc., will provide cold-chain warehousing and value-added services to the region’s food and beverage manufacturers.
