RICHMOND - Governor Timothy M. Kaine today announced that Criticon, a data processing and preparation host, will invest $115 million to open a 150,000-square-foot co-location data storage center in the City of Harrisonburg. The project will create 25 new jobs paying an average $80,000 salary.
AXYS, a leading engineering and consulting firm specializing in building management and security systems, will invest $2.18 million to establish new operations in the City of Winchester, creating 46 new jobs.
Condair Group AG, an international evaporative technologies manufacturing company, will invest $57.2 million to establish a new production facility in Chesterfield County, creating 180 new jobs.

Virginia successfully competed against other sites in the U.S. for the project, which will create 90 new jobs. Microsoft’s original project in 2010 involved an investment of up to $499 million and 50 new jobs. In 2011 the company invested an additional $150 million to expand the site, and in 2013 announced a $348 million expansion.

Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Data Services America, Inc. will expand its operations in Virginia by locating a facility in Buchanan County. The company will hire 50 employees by Fall 2000. Data Services America has operated a service center in Mecklenburg County since 1997. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the investment.
