VFP Inc., a producer of custom-designed enclosures used to protect critical infrastructure for telecommunications, public-safety radio, data centers, and utility projects, will invest $7.2 million to expand its operation in Scott County.

Standard Calibrations, Inc. to invest $9.6 million to construct new corporate headquarters

Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that ASTROLINK International LLC, a next generation global broadband wireless service company will locate its Network Operations Center (NOC) in the INNOVATION @ Prince William Technology Park. ASTROLINK will invest approximately $205 million in the new center, and could employ as many as 250 people. Virginia successfully competed with several other states for this investment.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Silent Falcon UAS Technologies, an unmanned aircraft systems service provider and original equipment manufacturer, will invest $6 million to locate its new East Coast headquarters for research, development, and manufacturing at the Front Royal-Warren County Airport in Warren County. Virginia successfully competed with Massachusetts and New Jersey for the project, which will create 249 new jobs.
 

Dublin, Ireland - During his European trade mission, Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that Travelocity.com will locate a call center in the Dickenson County Technology Park. Travelocity.com provides real time travel reservations for Internet customers. This new project will create 500 new jobs through an investment of $2.27 million.

- Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Microsoft Corp. will invest $402.4 million to expand its data center site in Mecklenburg County and increase capacity to serve its growing customer base. Virginia successfully competed against other sites in the U.S. for the project, which will create 42 new jobs. Microsoft’s original project in 2010 involved an investment of up to $499 million and 50 new jobs. In 2011 the company invested an additional $150 million to expand the site, and in 2013 announced a $348 million expansion.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that Amazon Web Services, Inc., (AWS), will expand in Fairfax County by establishing an office. AWS designs and offers cloud computing services to businesses, government and educational organizations, including web hosting, application hosting, storage and backup, content delivery, and scalable database solutions. The company plans to establish an office to support the business and mission information technology requirements for the public sector and commercial customers of AWS cloud services.

RICHMOND - Governor Mark R. Warner today announced that the DRS Group, one of the nations leading document management services companies, will locate 115 new jobs in Mecklenburg County’s Town of Clarksville. Through a $1 million investment, the company will open a 32,000 square foot document conversion supercenter in the Lake Country Industrial Park Building. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the investment.
