RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Universal Companies, the leading single-source supplier of spa products, will invest $1.5 million to expand its distribution operation in Washington County. Virginia successfully competed against Tennessee for the project, which will create 30 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Karn Custom Woodwork (KCW), an architectural millwork manufacturing and installation company, will invest $2.55 million to expand its headquarters and manufacturing operation in the City of Richmond. Virginia successfully competed against Maryland and Washington, D.C., for the project, which will create 30 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that 2nd Life Inc., a consumer electronics wholesaler serving Virginia and the surrounding region, will invest $975,000 to expand its operation in the Manchester district of the City of Richmond. The expansion project will create 66 new jobs over the next two years.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Spectrum Brands, Inc., a global consumer products company offering an expanding portfolio of leading brands, is investing $7.28 million over the next couple years in its Montgomery County operation to purchase equipment and upgrade its production processes. Spectrum Brands will receive funding from the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) to support the retraining of existing employees on the new machinery.

PULASKI - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Grupo Phoenix, a manufacturer of rigid packaging containers for the global food and beverage industry, will invest $48.7 million to expand its subsidiary manufacturing operation, Phoenix Packaging Operations, LLC, in Pulaski County. Virginia successfully competed against Arizona and Mexico for the project, which will create 145 new jobs. Governor McAuliffe and other Virginia officials met with the Grupo Phoenix leadership during an August 2016 trade and marketing mission to Colombia.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Bloomberg BNA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bloomberg L.P., the global business, financial information and news leader, will invest $5.5 million to expand in Arlington County, including the consolidation of its operations currently based in Maryland. Virginia successfully competed against Maryland and Washington, D.C. for the project, which will retain approximately 1,000 jobs and create up to 125 new jobs over three years.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Shamrock Farms, one of the largest family owned-and-operated dairies in the U.S., will invest more than $40 million to expand its operation in Augusta County. The company will also commit to sourcing an additional $24 million in Virginia milk, quadrupling its current purchases of Virginia agricultural products. The expansion will allow Shamrock Farms to meet the growing demand for its brand portfolio nationally.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Amazon will establish an e-commerce warehouse and distribution operation in Frederick County. The company plans to construct a new, one million-square-foot facility in the White Hall Commerce Center. Virginia successfully competed against West Virginia for the project, which will create more than 1,000 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today that Atlantic Core Building Products, a manufacturer of steel commercial construction materials, will invest $3 million to establish a manufacturing operation in the City of Chesapeake. Virginia successfully competed against North Carolina and South Carolina for the project, which will create 50 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Allfirst, L.L.C., an industrial general contractor and metal fabricator, will invest $130,000 to expand its headquarters in the City of Suffolk. The company will purchase new machinery and tools, and retrain up to 62 existing employees to operate the equipment and perform other functions. Allfirst will also create 27 new jobs over the next three years.
