RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Grenova Inc., a Virginia-based sustainable biotech firm that designs, develops, and manufactures devices that wash and sterilize contaminated pipette tips for reuse, will invest $10.6 million to expand in the City of Richmond. The company will relocate its operations from Manchester to a larger facility in Scott’s Addition and increase capacity with new production lines in response to the shortage of pipette tips used for COVID-19 testing.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Amazon continues to invest in Virginia with the launch of a new, state-of-the-art robotics fulfillment center on 119 acres of ancillary land at Richmond Raceway in Henrico County. The company will construct a multi-story, 650,000-square-foot facility with innovative robotics technology, adding over 1,000 new jobs to Amazon’s existing workforce of more than 27,000 full- and part-time employees in the Commonwealth. The facility will be the first of its kind in Central Virginia and is anticipated to launch in 2022.
 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Modine Manufacturing Company (NYSE: MOD), a diversified global leader in thermal management technology and solutions, will invest $7 million to establish a manufacturing facility in Rockbridge County. The company will convert its former warehouse located at 360 Collierstown Road into an operation producing highly engineered data center cooling solutions. Virginia successfully competed with several other states for the project, which will create 60 new jobs after full ramp-up. 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Ridgeline International, Inc., a technology-based solutions provider for the federal government, commercial, and nonprofit sectors, will invest $1.75 million to expand its operation in Fairfax County. The company will increase capacity to develop customized solutions that help its clients implement secure communications and guard against security threats, creating 162 new jobs. 

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Dante Valve Company, a family-owned, international manufacturer and distributor of valves and related products, will invest $1.9 million to expand its operation in the City of Norfolk. The company will add 10,000 square feet to its facility at 1324 Ballentine Boulevard to increase production and better serve its East Coast customers. Virginia successfully competed with Arizona, Nevada, and Texas for the project, which will create 40 new jobs.

DANVILLE - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Intertape Polymer Group (IPG), a packaging products and systems company that supplies to retailers and manufacturers, will invest $7 million to add significant manufacturing and distribution capacity at its facility in Pittsylvania County. The Pittsylvania County facility occupies over 45 acres and employs nearly 300 workers. This announcement brings IPG’s recent investment in upgrades and expansions in this facility to $25 million.

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Aditxt (Aditx Therapeutics, Inc.) (Nasdaq: ADTX), a biotech innovation company focused on improving the health of the immune system, will establish its first high-capacity AditxtScore™ Center in the City of Richmond in the second half of 2021. Aditxt plans to create more than 300 new jobs and targets making a capital investment of $31.5 million over three years to scale up its state-of-the-art immune monitoring center, including projected new jobs, laboratory equipment, and construction.

PETERSBURG—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that AMPAC Fine Chemicals (AFC), a leading manufacturer of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) in the United States, will invest $25 million to expand its existing operation on North Normandy Drive in the City of Petersburg. Virginia successfully competed with California and Texas for the project, which will create 156 new jobs. Governor Northam joined company leaders, key partners, and local economic development officials at AMPAC’s Petersburg facility to make the announcement.
