RICHMOND - The Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP) today announced that 10 Virginia healthcare companies will market their products and services at Arab Health 2016, the largest healthcare exhibition and conference in the Middle East, and the second largest in the world. The 2016 exhibition will showcase more than 4,000 companies exhibiting their latest innovations to more than 130,000 healthcare professionals attending from 163 countries. Arab Health 2016 will be held at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre, January 25 – 28.

Site Remediation Grants from the Virginia Brownfields Restoration and Economic Redevelopment Assistance Fund (VBAF) will be awarded to four localities.

Hitachi Energy, a global technology leader that is advancing a sustainable energy future for all, will invest $37 million to expand its operation in Halifax County.

Lowe's Companies, Inc., one of the largest home improvement retailers in the world, will establish a coastal holding facility in the City of Suffolk, which will create 100 new jobs.

Virginia is home to the top tech talent pipeline in the United States, a dynamic semiconductor research and development enterprise, and a network of premier universities producing a steady flow of graduates in areas of high relevance to microelectronics and nanotechnology subsectors. This combination creates a well-rounded ecosystem that positions the Commonwealth of Virginia at the intersection of innovation and manufacturing for the semiconductor industry. 

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe announced today Arkay Packaging Corporation, one of the world’s premiere folding carton manufacturing companies, will invest $11 million to upgrade equipment and expand its operation in Botetourt County. The project will create 50 new jobs.
