ROCKY MOUNT—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Empire Bakery Commissary, LLC, a commercial producer of ready-made cakes, cookies, and single-serve desserts, will invest $10.4 million to expand its facility in the Town of Rocky Mount in Franklin County. Virginia successfully competed against Utah, Texas, Arizona, and Oklahoma for this investment opportunity, which will create 75 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Terry McAuliffe today announced that Spectrum Brands, Inc., a global consumer products company offering an expanding portfolio of leading brands, is investing $7.28 million over the next couple years in its Montgomery County operation to purchase equipment and upgrade its production processes. Spectrum Brands will receive funding from the Virginia Jobs Investment Program (VJIP) to support the retraining of existing employees on the new machinery.

WINCHESTER—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that technology company Continental, one of the leading manufacturers of automotive, fashion, and industrial interior textiles, will invest $10.3 million to expand its O’Sullivan Films production facility in the City of Winchester. Virginia successfully competed against Mexico for the project, which will create 61 new jobs.
