Governor Gilmore announces 140 new jobs for manufacturing and distribution center
Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore announced today the decision by The Antioch Company to locate a new manufacturing and distribution center in Chesterfield County. The facility will be home to the company's subsidiary, the international direct-selling scrapbook company Creative Memories. It will create 140 new jobs by the end of 2002.

Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today applauded the decision by SYSCO Foodservices to locate a new distribution center in the City of Suffolk. The SYSCO project will create 450 new jobs for Virginians during the project's first phase. An additional 200 jobs will remain in Virginia as a result of the company's decision.

(NASDAQ-NAUT), a leading fashion and lifestyle company, has selected Henry County for its newest distribution operations. Nautica expects to create 375 new jobs over time and anticipates the project will result in an investment of approximately $40 million. Virginia successfully competed with Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, and Pennsylvania for the investment.
Lumber producer to make largest single private manufacturing investment in county's history
Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that ArborTech Forest Products will locate a manufacturing facility in Nottoway County creating 50 new jobs for residents there. The $21 million investment is the largest single manufacturing investment made by a private corporation in the county's history. Virginia successfully competed with North Carolina for the project.
Decision will create 150 new jobs in Hampton Roads
Richmond - Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that HomePlus Insurance Agency, Inc., an affiliate of the Minnesota Life Insurance Company, will locate a sales center in the City of Chesapeake creating 150 new jobs over the next two years. Virginia was selected for the $3 million investment after a nationwide search. The facility will be located in an existing building at the Battlefield Technology Center I.

Richmond - Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore announced today a new campaign to showcase Virginia's business climate. In addition, Virginia will become the first state to partner with Time Warner Inc., a global media company, for economic development advertising with the company's media properties of CNN and FORTUNE magazine.
