VBAF provides grants or loans to local governments to promote restoration and redevelopment of brownfield sites and to address environmental problems or obstacles to reuse so these sites can be effectively marketed to new economic development prospects.

VBRSP is a discretionary program to promote development and characterization of sites to enhance the Commonwealth’s infrastructure and promote its competitive business environment. The program’s goal is to assess and advance the readiness of potential industrial sites of at least 50 acres in the Commonwealth of Virginia (the “Commonwealth”) in alignment with the goals outlined in the Governor's economic development plan.

NORTHAMPTON COUNTY—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that New Ravenna, a designer and manufacturer of tiles for custom residential and commercial installations, will invest more than $900,000 to expand its manufacturing operation in Northampton County. The project will create 31 new jobs.
