RICHMOND - Six companies from across the Commonwealth graduated from VEDP’s Virginia Leaders in Export Trade (VALET) program, touting impressive results from their newly acquired tools to successfully export products and services overseas.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that Inorganic Ventures, a leading manufacturer of custom inorganic chemical blends, will invest $1.3 million to expand its headquarters, manufacturing and distribution operation in Montgomery County. The company will add 20,000 square feet to its current facility and create 21 new jobs.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Acentia, a premier provider of technology and management solutions to the Federal Government and commercial markets, will invest $3.1 million to move its headquarters to Fairfax County. The project will create 60 new jobs.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell and Amazon.com, Inc. (NASDAQ: AMZN) today announced the company’s plans to open two fulfillment centers in Virginia, investing a total of $135 million. The company will invest $85 million and create more than 1,000 jobs in Chesterfield County, and invest $50 million in Dinwiddie County, creating more than 350 jobs.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Dominion Virginia Power in partnership with Faneuil, Inc. will invest $1.5 million and create 150 jobs in Halifax County by establishing a customer care center for Dominion Virginia Power. Lieutenant Governor Bill Bolling joined business and government leaders in South Boston today on the Governor’s behalf to announce the project.
With today’s announcement there are 300 customer care center jobs related to Dominion in Southern Virginia.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that IMS:GEAR Virginia, Inc., one of the largest manufacturers of gear assemblies for the North American automotive market, will invest $35.5 million to expand its operation in the City of Virginia Beach. The company, which manufactures metal and plastic gear assemblies used in automatic automotive seats, will create 80 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed against Georgia for the project.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Rubbermaid Commercial Products (RCP), a leader in solution-based commercial products, will invest $67.25 million to expand operations in the City of Winchester and establish a distribution operation in Frederick County. The company, best known for its commercial cleaning, materials management, washroom and foodservice products, will add a total of 71 new jobs. In the City of Winchester, RCP is investing in high-technology, energy-efficient injection molding machines to upgrade the facility's production capability.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Enviva LP (“Enviva”), a leading manufacturer of processed biomass fuel in the United States and Europe, plans to invest $75 million to establish a wood pellet manufacturing operation in Southampton County. The project, assuming that local rezoning permits are issued, will create 64 new jobs.

(CLC), a manufacturing company with a strong emphasis on solar-control window films and precision, high-performance coatings, will invest $16.5 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Henry County. The company will create 40 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed against China for the project.
MUMBAI, INDIA - Governor Bob McDonnell today further expanded Virginia's international economic development presence with the announcement of the Commonwealth's new marketing representatives in India. The governor announced the representation during a press conference in Mumbai as part of a two-week job creation and economic development marketing mission to Israel and India.
