Credit startup Petal to establish new service and operations center

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Petal, a new kind of credit card company built to help people financially succeed, will make an investment of over $300,000 to establish a new service and operations center in Chesterfield County. Virginia successfully competed with Austin, Salt Lake City, and New York City—where Petal is headquartered—for the project, which will create more than 80 new jobs over the next three years.

Flow Alkaline Spring Water to invest $15.5 million to establish first U.S. manufacturing facility

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Flow Alkaline Spring Water, an Ontario-based provider of naturally alkaline spring water, will invest $15.5 million to establish its first U.S. spring water manufacturing facility in Augusta County. Virginia successfully competed with New Hampshire and Wisconsin for the project, which will create 51 new jobs. 

Speyside Bourbon Stave Mill in Virginia, Inc. to expand manufacturing operation

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Speyside Bourbon Stave Mill in Virginia, Inc., a manufacturer of white oak staves and headers for bourbon barrels, will invest $114,000 to expand its manufacturing facility in Bath County. The company will add new equipment and a second shift to the operation, creating 45 new jobs.

Polycap LLC to invest $7.7 million to establish first U.S. manufacturing facility

RICHMOND—Governor Ralph Northam today announced that Polycap LLC, a Toronto-based manufacturer of specialty caps and closures for a number of vertical markets, will invest $7.7 million to establish its first U.S. manufacturing facility in the 76,000-square-foot Russell County shell building in Lebanon. Virginia successfully competed with Ohio and Toronto for the project, which will create 48 new jobs.
