RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Régitex USA LLC, a manufacturer of made-to-order ring spun and open end yarns, will invest $1.5 million to open a manufacturing operation in Mecklenburg County. The company will acquire and upgrade an existing textile plant, creating 60 new jobs.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Praxair, one of the largest industrial gases companies in the world, will invest more than $15 million to locate a gases operation on the property of Osage Bio Energy’s facility in the City of Hopewell. Praxair will capture and purify carbon dioxide from Osage’s Appomattox Bio Energy facility and market it in applications such as: the food industry to freeze food; the beverage industry to make carbonation; and the energy market to extract natural gas from the ground.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Evatran LLC, a subsidiary of MTC Transformers and the manufacturer of the world's first "hands-free" electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE), will invest $3.5 million in a new facility in Wytheville in Wythe County that will manufacture Plugless Power™ charging technology for electric vehicles. RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell announced today that KPMG LLP, the audit, tax and advisory firm, will bring nearly 375 additional jobs to its office in Fairfax County.

RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Orion Air Group, one of the world’s leading operators of business aircraft, will invest $4 million to consolidate its Virginia operations in the City of Newport News. The company, headquartered in Yorktown, Virginia, outgrew its current location and will develop a hangar and office space complex at Air Commerce Park located at the Newport News/Williamsburg International Airport.

The company will occupy the former Intermet New River Foundry facility. Virginia successfully competed against Michigan for the project.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Phoenix Packaging Operations, LLC, a subsidiary of Phoenix Packaging Group, will invest more than $20 million to establish its first U.S. operation in Pulaski County. The company will manufacture thermoformed rigid plastic packaging for customers in the U.S., and also establish its North American headquarters in Pulaski. The project will create 240 new jobs. Virginia successfully competed against Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Tennessee and West Virginia.
RICHMOND - Governor Bob McDonnell today announced that Virginia has been awarded Site Selection magazine’s 2010 Competitiveness Award. The award began in 2003 as a benchmark that measures state economic development agencies’ competitiveness—the most important factor in an agency’s ability to attract capital investment and expand economic activity in the state.
