Richmond - Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore today announced that College House Inc. will relocate its corporate headquarters from Westbury, New York, to an Enterprise Zone in the City of Richmond. A manufacturer of silk-screen and embroidered garments, College House will create 50 new jobs with an investment of $1.5 million.

City of Franklin - Virginia Governor Jim Gilmore today announced the decision by Cresstale Limited to locate its first manufacturing plant outside of England in the City of Franklin. The decision will result in an investment of $6 million and will initially create 175 new jobs for Virginians with employment projected to reach an excess of 400 over the next four years. Cresstale will occupy an existing shell building in Franklin's Pretlow Industrial Park this July.

Richmond - Governor George Allen today announced the decision by CarMax, Inc., a subsidiary of Circuit City Stores, Inc., to locate its corporate headquarters in the West Creek area of Goochland County. The headquarters will create 1,100 new jobs, and employment could eventually exceed 2,000.

Virginia Beach - Governor George Allen today announced that GEICO, the nation's seventh largest automobile insurer, will locate a new customer sales and service center in the Corporate Landing Business Park in the City of Virginia Beach. The $17.3 million capital investment will create 800 new jobs for Virginians. The company projects over 2,000 employees will occupy the facility in five to 10 years. Virginia successfully competed with New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio for the investment.

Radford - Governor George Allen today announced the decision by Kollmorgen Motion Technologies Group to expand their service center in the City of Radford, a $3 million investment which will retain 30 current jobs for Virginia, and create another 30 at a new building at the Radford Corporate Campus West. Virginia successfully competed against New York for the investment by Kollmorgen.
